Glastonbury 2007

Glastonbury 2007

The rush begins

Tickets for the summer's Glastonbury Festival have gone on sale at 9am this morning.

Demand to see headliners Kings Of Leon,The Verve and Jay-Z, from June 27-29, is expected to be huge as ever as those who pre-registered for tickets jockey to purchase. As soon as the sale opened, the offical Glastonbury website would not let normal traffic through reading simply Server Is Too Busy.

Ticket price is ?155 for a weekend ticket, plus ?5 booking fee per ticket and ?4 post and packaging per order.

NME.COM will bring you more as the morning progresses.

I've just bought a total of 8 tickets for Glastonbury and I am good to go! Yay.Just want to say that the bitching about Glasto is unfounded. It's not simply a music festival like Reading or V, it's a festival. Period. It covers so many different cultures and interests. For Eavis to introduce one more, hip hop, onto the mainstage is just adding to an already abundant multicultural festival. I sound like I know what I'm talking about, I don't. Last year was my first time at the festival and I didn't get to see everything, so I by no means claim to be an expert. I just think that Jay-Z and other urban artists should be given their chance in the Glastonbury sun, or rain as may be the case.

An hour and 20mins in and I've still not been able to get the ticket providers website to load up. Previous years I have at least been able to get to the first page....It's not looking good.

you spend two hours just trying to get on to the site...then you get all the way through to purchasing your ticket...then joy turns to dispair as 'sorry, too busy' appears.. so you go back to sorting out again, and then 'this registration number has already been used'what a load of balls

I can't seem to get tickets due to a technical cock-up. We eventually got through to the website and entered our registration numbers but the site crashed before we got to the payment page. Next time we got through, we entered reg numbers, payment details etc, clicked submit... and were told that our registration numbers had already been used! Now I can get through online but can't buy any tickets because our reg numbers aren't being recognised. So I'm not going to Glastonbury then :-(

This is a joke! I've been pressing refresh/redial for the past two hours with no luck!! Is there some kind of conspiricy to stop me from going - UNLESS it involves rummaging around in the bottomless mud for plastic bottles and other recycleable goods?!?!!

Either touts are out in force or the people in charge have made a major mess of all this. Everyone I know has entered all the details required, got there parking pass and given their debit card numbers across only to say that all their registration numbers have already been used. This is ridiculous, I mean I know getting Glastonbury tickets is no walk in the park but you would at least expect that once you have finally got through they would let you buy the tickets which you have registered for.

Touts Rest In Pieces HA! They should all be tied to a spare stage and stoned with heavy rocks and bits of rusty metal. ;)
