Bristol duo also prepare to hit the road

Massive Attack collaborator Horace Andy has revealed details of the band's forthcoming new album.

The singer, who regularly features on the duo's records, said the band have recorded three tracks with him so far.

He added: "They send the lyrics for me to learn, I've done three tracks. I never know what they are going to choose, I am supposed to be going up to Bristol very soon.

"Four years now and they haven't come with an album yet, if I was to stick around and wait on Massive, man, oh my God."

The singer also said the pair, who as previously reported on NME.COM are due to appear at this year's Glastonbury Festival, are planning to curate The Meltdown Festival and play a series of UK dates in the summer.

"I'm going on tour with them in June/ July and I think they said they want me with acoustic and blah blah blah... Then I hear them say about The Meltdown," Andy told BBC 6 Music.

The as-yet-untitled album is also due to feature performances from Damon Albarn, TV On The Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe former Mazzy Star singer Hope Sandoval and Liz Fraser.

The record will be Massive Attack's first since 2003's '100th Window'.
