Be Your Own Pet

'Something had to give' says the band

Be Your Own Pet have pulled out of their slot at the forthcoming Warped tour, making the announcement in a concise statement on their website.

"We regret to inform our fans that we will not be participating in this year's Warped tour. We have been going non-stop for the past 6 months and didn't realize how much the intense schedule would take out of us. Something had to give and sadly it's this tour."

The band also had a show scheduled at McCarren Pool in Brooklyn with Tapes 'N Tapes and The Black Keys on August 7, but they will not be playing that show either.

As previously reported, three songs from the band’s new album ‘Get Awkward’ were cut from the release by their label, as they were deemed too violent. The songs were subsequently independently released.
