Motor company ditches 50 Cent truck plans

Credit crunch sees rapper's sport vehicle cancelled

General Motors Corporation has decided to cancel plans to produce the 50 Cent-sponsored Pontiac G8 sport truck.

The company unveiled the truck in March 2008 at the New York International Auto Show, and had planned to begin selling it next year.

But due to the current economic recession, the plan has been cancelled. However, other G8 vehicles from the company will still be produced, reports allhiphop.com.

50 Cent, who is currently gearing to for the February 3 release of his fourth studio album ‘Before I Self-Destruct’, recently had his MTV reality show ‘50 Cent: The Money and the Power’ cancelled due to poor ratings.
