His ex-girlfriend will not be getting his fortune

Judge throws out $50 million lawsuit against 50 Cent

A judge in New York has thrown out a $50 million lawsuit against the rapper 50 Cent, brought by his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins.

Tompkins, who is the mother of 50’s son Marquis, said that the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, had promised her half his earnings for the rest of their life, reports okmagazine.com.

After the claims were thrown out by a Supreme Court Justice in Manhattan, Jackson’s lawyer issued a statement saying:

"Ms. Tompkins's claims pertaining to a $50 million verbal contract were entirely frivolous. In dismissing the case before trial, the court is sending a clear message. This is a complete and total victory for 50."

Tompkins’ Long Island home that was bought by Jackson burned down in May 2008. She subsequently issued a restraining order against him, and told reporters that he tried to kill her. Jackson responded with a defamation suit.
