50 Cent settles mansion lawsuit
Rap star claims he was cheated by engineering firm
50 Cent has settled the lawsuit over repairs to his Connecticut mansion.
In the suit, the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, alleged that an engineering firm charged far more than their original estimate. He testified that the firm, BVH Integrated Services of Bloomfield, estimated that the repairs would cost $500,000, but ended up charging $6 million.
BVH's attorney disputed 50 Cent's claims, saying his client shouldn't be held responsible for the price difference because 50 Cent wanted "extravagant and costly upgrades", reports the Associated Press.
A court official announced today (June 5) that the suit had been settled, but no details of the settlement have yet been revealed.
The 19-bedroom, 37-bathroom home, which 50 Cent bought from boxer Mike Tyson, has been featured in the MTV series 'Cribs'.
