50 Cent is being sued over an alleged violent attack despite not actually being present at the time it took place.

According to the lawsuit, the details of which have been obtained by US gossip website TMZ, an associate of 50 Cent's Dwayne McKenzie began making "graphic and vulgar sexual requests" at a party at the rapper's Connecticut mansion.

Vasti Ortiz, who has filed the complaint, then became uncomfortable and started to leave. She claims McKenzie then ordered another woman to start beating her while he held her down, badly injuring her.

Ortiz is suing the New York star, real name Curtis Jackson, because she claims he knew or should have known McKenzie was a criminal who had assaulted in the past.

50 Cent was not present during the alleged attack.
