50 Cent has come out in support of Frank Ocean, who recently opened up about his sexuality, using his Tumblr to explain that his first love was a man.

Speaking to MTV, 50 Cent said:

Anyone that has an issue with Frank Ocean is an idiot. I think Frank Ocean is a talented artist, I think he's created material that made me know his name, that impressed me, with things he said on a song like 'Novacane'.

He added of the timing of Ocean's revelation, which came before the release of his current LP: "You can call it brave or you can call it marketing, because it was intentional; it wasn't an accident." The rapper also commented: "Obama is for same-sex marriage. If the president is saying that, then who am I to go the other way?"

Ocean's first official album, 'Channel Orange', is currently streaming and available to buy in stores from today (July 16). The album follows last year's 'Nostalgia, ULTRA' mixtape. You can hear the album, which features contributions from Outkast's Andre 3000, his Odd Future bandmates Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt as well as John Mayer, by visiting Ocean's Tumblr at Frankocean.tumblr.com.
