LIVIN' DOLLS!

Former 60FT DOLLS frontman RICHARD PARFITT is to make his return to the live circuit at the end of this month, as guitarist for URGE OVERKILL's mainman, NASH KATO.

Parfitt, from Newport, south Wales, had taken a back seat from playing live since his own band split in 1997.

But he's back to the boards this month, after accepting a personal request from Kato. The band will play Cardiff Barfly on May 28, and the London Highbury Garage on May 31. More dates could be added soon.

Kato, from Chicago, last visited the UK with Urge Overkill in 1994. This will be his first time over without his original band, who were most famous for their cover of Neil Diamond's 'Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon' which appeared on the soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction'.

Parfitt first met Kato after a 60ft Dolls show in Chicago during the Dolls' 1995 US tour.

Kato's new album, 'Debutante', is already on sale in the US and Germany, but has yet to get a UK release.

Parfitt last performed live as special guest to Catatonia in 1998. He played acoustic versions of 60ft Dolls songs at Llangollen and Margam Park.
