Benicassim to showcase new talent

Acoustic demos wanted for next year's beachside festival

Benicassim to showcase new talent

New and unsigned artists from across the UK are being given the chance to play at next year's Benicassim festival.

The four-day Spanish festival returns in July, and north London bar The Cedar Room are hosting a contest for unsigned acoustic acts to win an all expenses paid trip to perform.

The Cedar Room, on Upper Street in Islington, is currently taking demos for inclusion in the competition.

Kicking off on Sunday 14 January, heats will take place from Sunday to Thursday, with audience votes leading up to a final at The Pigalle Club on February 11, where an industry panel will decide the winner.

Benicassim takes place from July 19-22. To check ticket availability and get all the latest listings, go to NMEtickets.com, now.
