Maccabees help kick off Shockwaves NME Awards with live performance

The Maccabees have helped to kick off the Shockwaves NME Awards ceremony tonight (February 24), performing their song 'Can You Give It' live.

The band were joined onstage by a six-piece brass section for the evening.

The performance took place at the O2 Academy Brixton in London, with more live performances set to take place later in the night from a variety of acts including Kasabian, Biffy Clyro and Hole.
