Jon McClure hits Camden after Shockwaves NME Awards Show

Reverend And The Makers’ Jon McClure took to the streets of Camden after his Shockwaves NME Awards show at London’s Roundhouse to busk for fans.

Following the final song of the band’s set last night (February 26), 'He Said He Loved Me', the singer jumped off the stage and headed for the main exit of the venue, joined by a handful of his band.

Once outside, surrounded by fans, McClure performed a short set of songs, including tracks from his debut 'The State Of Things', a handful of new songs and an Oasis cover.

Speaking to NME.COM immediately afterwards, The Reverend said: “I played a new song of ours, I played 'Whatever' by Oasis, I played 'Miss Brown' off our album, loads of stuff.

“It's good to go out and meet people – if you're going to write songs about people, you have to be with people. I don't want to be one of those who only associates himself with musicians, I pride myself on us being a people's band.”

Earlier the group played to a sold-out Roundhouse , including a handful of new songs, such as the opening 'Everybody Hates Ryan', alongside hits like 'Heavyweight Champion Of The World' and 'Open Your Window'.
