Reverend And The Makers' Jon 'The Reverend' McClure has claimed that he has changed his mind about quitting music.

Last month, Jon McClure said he was planning to quit the music industry after the release of his second album, 'A French Kiss In The Chaos', next year.

However, he has since told BBC Newsbeat that he has changed his mind, and that his previous decision was the result of being in a bad state of mind at a particular time.

"I got a bit mental when I got down in the dumps and said I was going to quit but I won't, I'll carry on," he said.

McClure added: "There's some people I need to put straight on a few things first. I will be back, don't worry about that, I'm bullet-proof."

mmmmmm....really? soundedd have a look at what you just said??? the Rev is a ledge?? since when have elbow been pretentious?! i admit i'm a fan of the latest album, but tings tings and foals, definitely not!! got the rev's album, listened to it up til that song about a fruit machine, what was that about, utter rubbish

It's amusing reading all you lot slagging him off, and not allowing yourselves to broaden your minds towards todays alternative music scene. The Rev's tunes are pure innovation and he's got a good head on him. At least he's not started writing music to become famous, make money, or "score loads of birds", he's just got a message which he wants people to hear. But by all means, go back to listening the same old mindless guitar shite that's around at the moment (the libertines were great - but it's time to move on)...big up the Rev and his Makers berrrrappp!
