Reverend And The Makers guitarist quits Reverend And The Makers Tickets

Former Milburn man to replace Tom Jarvis

Reverend And The Makers guitarist Tom Jarvis has quit the band.

Frontman Jon 'The Reverend' McClure told NME.COM that the guitarist had left because he had "had enough", and revealed that former Milburn guitarist Tom Rowley would replace him.

"It's a shame because his guitars are mental on the new record," said McClure of Jarvis' departure. "But now Tom Rowley is joining - he is cool, and in lots of ways one of the guys who got the whole Sheffield scene started.

"People have love in their hearts for him up north, and me and him together have something amazing. I want to get on album three straight away as he's a genius."

Jarvis' last gig with the band was their headline slot at the Club NME New Year's Eve Ball at the London KOKO.

Reverend And The Makers will release their second album, 'A French Kiss In The Chaos', later in 2009.

See NME soon for an exclusive album preview.
