Reverend And The Makers have launched their own brand of beer.

Jon McClure and co have signed up for two brands of ale the first of which was recently launched at The Stag's Head in Sheffield. Entitled 'Reverend & The Makers Summer Ale', the bottled beer is brewed by Bakewell-based Thornbridge Brewery. Another version of the bottled beer will also be released in the winter.

Guitarist Ed Cosens told the Sheffield paper The Star: "I've known the guys from Thornbridge for a few years now and last year they came to me and said: 'Do you want to do a beer with Reverend And The Makers?' I was like: 'Of course yeah, I love ale'. I just jumped at the chance because they are a great brewery." You can watch a video of the beer launch featuring members of Reverend And The Makers and South American band The Otherness below.

A host of bands have launched their own brand of beer recently including Iron Maiden, Hanson and Frank Turner. The sale of Maiden's beer was recently halted in Sweden due to he design of the logo on the bottle's label. 'The Trooper Ale' was also recently sold in the House Of Commons bar.
