Band's song proves too loud for the equipment

A Place To Bury Strangers' forthcoming single, 'To Fix The Gash In Your Head'/'Ocean' has been delayed a week after the pressing plant broke down while making the 10-inch vinyl format of the single.

The single will now be released on May 12.

According to the band's spokesperson the "red noise levels" - a reference to sounds that exceed the suggested volume levels - on the master tapes caused the pressing plant to malfunction.

The highly tipped newcomers have recently been tagged by some observers "The loudest band in New York".

Volume is nothing to boast about. Thrice are extremely loud and their music is a pile of shit.
