QUEST MAN ON A JAZZ TIP

Maverick hip hop star Q-Tip is set to release his as yet untitled second solo album in November.

The record will mark another piece of reinvention for the former A Tribe Called Quest man and should not be thought of as hiphop, a US spokesperson for him has said. Q-Tip fans will reportedly hear a move even further into jazz on the album.

Though details of the release are scant, sonicnet reports that a live band has been used throughout the recording and Q-Tip will be heard singing as much as rapping.

The album will be the follow-up to 2000's 'Amplified'.
