THE WILD 1S
Take On Me's Tron-inspired promo got them to Number One after all...
A1 are set to follow the 'TRON'-inspired success of their chart-topping 'TAKE ON ME' video by gearing up for the release of new single 'SAME OLD BRAND NEW YOU' with a video inspired by MARLON BRANDO's character in classic movie 'THE WILD ONES'.
The single is the second to be taken from A1's forthcoming album 'The A List', released through Columbia on November 20, and features Ben, Mark, Paul and Christian "greased up like mechanics" in a high-concept clip situating the quartet in an American road movie.
The director, Stuart Gosling, is the man responsible for the 'Take On Me' video.
The song itself was co-written and recorded by A1 in New York, where they were working with Britney/Whitney/Backstreet collaborator Eric Foster White.
Meanwhile, the band are currently holed up in a London rehearsal studio putting the finishing touches to their forthcoming UK tour.
The tour, which kicks off in late October, is the group's first full-scale tour and will see them working with a full live band as well as playing a number of instruments themselves.
