A1 - 'WE NEARLY SPLIT'

The boyband reveal that they came near to breaking up after four fans died in Indonesia...

A1 have revealed that they considered splitting up after four teenage fans were killed in a crush, as the band took part in an instore signing session in Indonesia in March.

The group's Christian Ingebrigsten admitted: "We're still haunted every day by what happened, the pain will never go away. I thought, 'Is it all worth it when four young lives can be lost like that?' We thought about giving it all up."

But Ben Adams from the boyband told The Sun newspaper today (May 1) that it was the support of their fans that encouraged them to continue. "Our fans have been very supportive and asked us to go on, that's what did it for us."
