REPLACEMENT ACTRESS CAST
Nona Gaye, daughter of Marvin Gaye, will now play the late star's part...
Late r'n'b star Aaliyah will be replaced by 'ALI' actress NONA GAYE in the forthcoming sequels to 'THE MATRIX'.
At the time of her premature death in August last year, Aaliyah had filmed some scenes for the follow-up to 'The Matrix', titled 'The Matrix Reloaded'.
She was due to play the part of Zee, a character that also appears in the third film in the franchise, 'The Matrix Revolutions'.
However, according to the Reuters news service, Gaye, daughter of Marvin Gaye, will now take the role. Shooting is due to begin in the next seven days in Australia.
