Hundreds of pieces of memorabilia to be displayed

ABBA to send museum on world tour

An ABBA museum featuring costumes and instruments used by the band is set to head out on a world tour next year.

The exhibition of 750 pieces of memorabilia includes music and multimedia displays for fans of the Swedish band.

ABBA The Museum was going to be based in the band's native Stockholm, but will now go global with a world tour in 2009 after complications arose with the potential venue.

Instead, following the success of movie 'Mamma Mia!', plans are now been drawn-up to send the exhibition around the world, reports Cision.

The film has become the fastest selling DVD in the UK ever, and the soundtrack has sold over four million copies across the world.

Dates and locations for the museum's tour have yet to be confirmed.
