AC/DC to embark on US tour this summer

Dates continue to support 'Black Ice'

A string of AC/DC dates have been announced this summer in support of their current album 'Black Ice'.

The outing kicks off July 28 in Foxborough, MA and so far runs through to September 8.

'Black Ice’ debuted a Number One on the Billboard chart after its October 2008 release, selling 780,000 copies in its first week of release via limited online and retail outlets.

The dates so far are:

Foxborough, MA Gillette Stadium (July 28)
East Rutherford, NJ Giants Stadium (31)
Auburn Hills, MI The Palace of Auburn Hills (August 16)
Grand Rapids, MI Van Andel Arena (18)
Tacoma, WA Tacoma Dome (30)
San Jose, CA HP Pavilion at San Jose (September 2)
Los Angeles, CA Staples Center (4)
San Diego, CA San Diego Sports Arena (6)
Anaheim, CA Honda Center (8)

AC/DC are beating Kaiser Chiefs in the race for the Number One slot in the UK albums chart this week (beginning October 20). The Australian rockers' new album, 'Black Ice', is predicted to sell around 100,000 copies by the end of the week, HMV's Gennaro Castaldo told BBC 6music. It has sold around 25,000 copies more than Kaiser Chiefs' new album, 'Off With Their Heads'.
