AC/DC's Brian Johnson: 'I hate autobiographies'

Rock vocalist opens up about his own book 'Rockers And Rollers: A Full-Throttle Memoir'

AC/DC's vocalist Brian Johnson has revealed that he hates autobiographies and will not be writing one anytime soon.

The rock vocalist did recently release a book entitled 'Rockers And Rollers: A Full-Throttle Memoir' through Harper Collins, but in an interview with Billboard, the frontman explains that the release is actually a series of "short stories that are funny and positive" that fuse his passionate interests in cars and music.

"I just love cars," Johnson said. "It's probably because we were born with no money, and it was always something you dreamt of when you saw it driving past - 'I wonder what it would be like to have one of them?' But it went beyond that. I just loved these things, these motor cars, these things that you could get in and do anything. You could go anywhere. It becomes personal, you know?"

The singer said he has no interest as yet in writing a more standard rock and roll set of memoirs. "I think they're boring and rotten," says Johnson, "and I'm not interested." But another book of short stories with more emphasis on the music is a possibility: "If I could do it without stepping on anybody's toes, I think that would be quite fun," Johnson adds. "As long as it wasn't negative. It would have to be a positive, funny side of everything. I think that would be a great thing, and I have thought of it."
