Axl Rose has spoken for the first time since it was confirmed that he will front AC/DC at a series of gigs this summer, with the Guns N' Roses singer revealing his favourite song by his new bandmates.

Rose was wheeling through Los Angeles International Airport on a scooter when he was confronted by photographers and camera crews yesterday (April 25). He was leaving California after headling the second weekend of Coachella with the newly reunited Guns N' Roses.

During the brief conversation, Rose seemed happy with the Coachella gigs and said “The shows went really good, the crowd was amazing. The first show was good, the second show was more fun … The crowd was even more responsive.”

Rose's next engagement however will be performing live with AC/DC on their upcoming European tour. The singer told TMZ at the airport that his favourite song of theirs is 'Touch Too Much' and laughed at the suggestion he might prefer his job as Brian Johnson's replacement to his old band.

Elsewhere, Rose was also asked about Prince ("very sad") and how long he'll be in a cast with his broken leg ("couple more weeks"). Watch the video in full below:

Brian Johnson had been AC/DC’s frontman since 1980, joining the group following the death of previous singer Bon Scott.

AC/DC currently have 12 European live dates booked in for May and June, including two UK shows: London's Olympic Stadium on June 4 and Manchester's Etihad Stadium on June 9. In a preview of what's to come, guitarist Angus Young joined Axl Rose onstage at Coachella for Guns N' Roses' headline set.
