Adam Sandler in line for ‘I Hate You Dad’

Actor's production company Happy Madison will make the comedy

Adam Sandler is set to team up with The Lonely Island comedian Andy Samberg on new comedy I Hate You Dad.

Sandler‘s production company, Happy Madison, will produce the film, reports Empire. It is set to focus on a father who moves in with his son just before his wedding and promptly ends up falling out with the bride-to-be.

Sandler would be cast in the father role, while Samberg will play the son – despite there only being a 12-year age gap between the two comedians.

The film, picked up by Columbia Pictures in 2008, was originally written by David Caspe, but has since been rewritten by David Wain and Ken Marino.
