Adele has made a new chart record today (April 3), becoming the female solo artist with the most consecutive weeks spent at the top of the UK albums chart.

Her second album '21' is Number One for the tenth week in a row.

The previous female solo artist Number One record was held by Madonna for her 1990 compilation, 'The Immaculate Collection'.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez has gone straight to Number One in the singles chart with 'On The Floor'.

The track, a collaboration with rapper Pitbull, is the singer's third UK Number One, following 2001's 'Love Don't Cost A Thing' and 2005's 'Get Right'.
