Adele has named 'Bon Iver' by Bon Iver as her favourite record of the year, despite the fact that it’s only June.

Writing on her blog at Adele.tv, the soul singer called the album, pictured below – which went into the UK Official Album Chart at Number Four yesterday (June 26) – "so, so special".

"I'm pretty convinced it’s my record of the year already," she said. "You know when someone's life flashes before their eyes in a film, and every memory flashes before their eyes. It happens when you listen to him sing, but you survive it!"

Adele also said that she'd been waiting to hear the new Justin Vernon-penned album ever since she heard his debut 'For Emma, Forever Ago', which was released in the UK in 2008. She called the debut, which was famously recorded in a cabin in Wisconsin, "by far the most moving record I had ever heard".
