Adele beats Muse in poll to see who should record theme for new 'James Bond' film 'Skyfall'

Adele has come out on top in an online poll to see who fans who would like to record the next James Bond theme.

The '21' singer has been constantly linked with recording the theme for the new Bond film Skyfall, but producers have stressed that nothing is confirmed as yet.

In a poll run by entertainment website IGN.com, the singer came out on top, beating Muse, who came in second and Foo Fighters who came third.

U2 were fourth, Florence And The Machine were fifth and Arctic Monkeys came in sixth place, with Lana Del Rey, Guns N' Roses, Yeah Yeah Yeahs' singer Karen O and Rihanna occupying the other places in the Top 10.

Beyonce, Take That, and Plan B all failed to make the Top 10 in the online poll.

Skyfall is being directed by Sam Mendes, once again stars Daniel Craig as Bond. The film will also feature co-stars stars Naomie Harris Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Bérénice Marlohe, Helen McCrory and Javier Bardem. It will open in cinemas on October 26.
