Aerosmith's 'Steven Tyler quit' comment 'misquoted', says Joey Kramer

But the drummer refuses to deny singer has left the band

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer has said that his band have been misquoted with regard to stories suggesting singer Steven Tyler had left the band.

Guitarist Joe Perry recently said that Tyler had left the band set-up, but that they were still set to continue without him. Kramer told US radio station WPLR that the comments had been taken "out of context" but did not deny that Tyler had left.

"My partners have been misquoted and their comments have been taken out of context," he claimed. "I'm not going to make a statement about that on the radio. I'm going to make a statement about it in person."

Kramer confirmed that Aerosmith have not broken up, whether or not Tyler has quit. "No, the band didn't break up," he said. "We've gone through a lot of stuff together. It's been a 40-year marriage."

"Amazing" headline - Oh the "sweet emotion" I am feeling right now, this is "crazy." I guess everyone who wanted to see the band will now have to "dream on" until Tyler decides to get "back in the saddle" again. i mean i will give it to the man, quitting might not be so bad... i mean it was not to long ago that he fell on stage in Dakota like a "ragdoll" and taken away by the lifeflight helicopter "angel." I mean come on people, the man is ancient what do you want him to do next... "walk on water"?But as some might "remember" this is the "same old song and dance" that we have heard before with major bands - the constant drama keeps us all "livin on the edge" and once again interested in the band. In my opinion, "deuces are wild here" and Ii am sure the Aerosmith enterprise will "draw the line" somewhere, stop their "cryin" and "do what it takes" to "come together" once again.
