Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler is set to release a solo single next month.

The single, '(It) Feels So Good', will come out in the US on May 9. The track will debut on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on KIIS-FM while the video, which Tyler shot on Tuesday (April 26), is expected to premiere on American Idol, on which he is a judge.

The release will mark Tyler’s second solo foray outside the group - his song 'Love Lives' was released in November last year.

Billboard reports that the singer is currently recording a new Aerosmith album, despite reports of problems between him and guitarist Joe Perry. The band have not released a new album since 2004’s 'Honkin’ On Bobo'.

Tyler is also set to release his autobiography, Does The Noise In My Head Bother You? A Rock ‘n’ Roll Memoir’, on May 3.
