Aerosmith have been named as the third and final headline act for Download Festival 2014.

The US band, fronted by Steven Tyler, will perform at Donington Park in what will be their first UK show since 2010. They join previously announced headliners Linkin Park and Avenged Sevenfold on the 2014 bill. Alter Bridge will perform before Aerosmith on the Sunday of the festival.

Speaking about his band returning to the UK to headline Download 2014, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry said: "It's been too long since we've been to England and we're sincerely fucking charged to be coming back! See you there."

Yesterday (November 5) saw Linkin Park named as the second headline act for Download Festival 2014, with the band set to perform their 2000 album 'Hybrid Theory' in full at the event. Joining them on the bill will be special guests Fall Out Boy. They join Friday night headliners Avenged Sevenfold, who, alongside Rob Zombie, were revealed on Monday.

Download Festival will take place at Donington Park between June 13 and 15.
