Long awaited [a]Twilight Singers[/a] album to hit next year...

WHIG OUT 2000

Afghan Whigs frontman Greg Dulli and the Twilight Singers is putting the finishing touches to an album by his side project Twilight Singers which is set to be released next year.

Dulli, who played a show last night in LA at the Viper Rooms, has been working on the album since 1998; he was interrupted by the recording and touring of the last Whigs' album '1965', though he has actually played a few Twilight Singers songs live with Afghan Whigs.

Dulli wrote and recorded four songs for the soundtrack of US indie film Monument Avenue, directed by Ted Demme in which he also had two acting roles, one as a mob heavy and one as a drug dealer.
