AFRIKA SHOX!

He's not going to use his most familiar name though...

Hiphop legend AFRIKA BAMBAATAA is to release a series of records under the moniker HYDRAULIC FUNK.

Bambaataa has teamed up with collaborator and producer Steven 'Boogie' Brown, and plans to release a remix of 'The Star-Spangled Banner' and George Clinton's Parliament hit 'Flashlight' during 2002.

The pairing came together after being approached by Nike to record a track for use in a commercial in the US.

Afrika Bambaataa is regarded as one of the most influential figures in hiphop. He founded the Universal Zulu Nation, the largest known worldwide organisation of DJs, graffiti artists and rappers.
