Air bring the ambience to V Festival Chelmsford

Band headline festival tent on final day of 2010 bash

Air brought mellow vibes to V Festival in Chelmsford tonight (August 22), headlining the Virgin Mobile Union Tent on the second and final day of the 2010 event.

Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel, switching between synths and guitars and backed by a live drummer, played songs from last year's 'Love 2' album, plus older hits including 'Sexy Boy' and 'Kelly Watch The Stars', taken from their 1998 debut 'Moon Safari'.

The French duo played in front of a sparse crowd, competing against headliners Kasabian on the V Stage.

However, they greeted the crowd warmly, chatting through a vocoder to say thanks for the support and asking, "Are you ready?" in their robotic tones before playing 'Sexy Boy'.

Air played:

'Do The Joy'
'Love'
'Remember'
'Venus'
'Tropical Disease'
'Don't Be Light'
'Cherry Blossom Girl'
'How Does It Make You Feel?'
'Alpha Beta Gaga'
'Kelly Watch The Stars'
'Sexy Boy'
'La Femme d'Argent'
