Alabama Shakes have announced a short UK tour for this November.

The band, who released their critically acclaimed debut album 'Boys & Girls' earlier this year, will play four shows in November, including two in London.

The run of shows begins at Manchester Academy on November 12, before moving onto Glasgow Barrowlands on November 13, the band will then play two dates in the UK capital, first day at the Coronet on November 16 and then at the HMV Forum on November 17.

The band are also booked to play two further dates in September in Oxford and Brighton as well as festival slots at Latitude, Bestival, End Of The Road Festival and Secret Garden Party.

Alabama Shakes have previously said that Jack White and My Morning Jacket's Jim James would be their dream collaborators.

Speaking to NME in a video which you can watch by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking, singer Brittany Howard says the pair would be her ultimate jamming partners.

She says of this: "My dream collaboration would probably be Jim James and Jack White – all together and we'd just come up with some stuff. The way Jim James arranges his songs - that's perfect. He's already a great songwriter and then you throw Jack White in the mix and he's got this crazy way he plays guitar, I just feel like we would all have a lot of ideas, it would kind of be endless."

Alabama Shakes will play:

O2 Academy Oxford 2 (September 4)
Brighton Concorde 2 (5)
Manchester Academy (November 12)
Glasgow Barrowlands (13)
London Coronet (16)
London HMV Forum (17)
