ALANIS GOES 'NUDE'!

Beat that, Janet Jackson...

Alanis Morissette has appeared 'nude' at the 'CANADIAN GRAMMYS' to protest about censorship in the US.

The singer, who was hosting the Juno Awards in Edmonton on Sunday (March 4), stepped onstage wearing a cartoonish 'nude suit' before commenting on the Janet Jackson Super Bowl scandal.

She told the audience after slipping out of her dressing gown to reveal the costume: "We can't show nipples on national TV. I am proud to be able to stand here and do this."

According to BBC News, Alanis Morissette added: "We live in a land where we still think the human body is beautiful and we're not afraid of the female breast."

This year's Juno Awards saw [/a] pick up the Best Single' trophy for 'Powerless (Say What You Want)' and [a]Nickelback walk away with Best Group.

As previously reported on NME.COM, Alanis Morissette will release her fourth album, ‘So-Called Chaos’, on May 17 through Maverick. It will be preceded by a single, ‘Everything’, on May 10.
