ALANIS STARTS 'JUNKIE' TOURING Alanis Morissette Tickets
[B]ALANIS MORISETTE[/B] has started a low-key club tour for her new album, playing 12 new songs...
Alanis Morissette(pictured)- the cover star of this week's NME - has kicked off a club tour in the US to preview her new album 'Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie', released next month.
The Canadian star played a 40-minute set at the Santa Cruz Catalyst Club in California on Sunday (October 11), playing 12 songs from the new album, which is released on November 3.
Meanwhile, in this week's NME feature, Morissette admits to "a period of time where I didn't laugh for about a year and a half, even two years. I just stopped laughing. Which was probably the scariest moment in my life... so I do it all the time now."
Morisette also explains that she escaped the media spotlight caused by the 28-million copy success of her debut album 'Jagged Little Pill' by backpacking around India and Cuba - saying that her trip to India enabled her "to communicate". She also admits that the trip made her realise she did not need to make another record. Despite this, of course, she did.
She also admits to have dated "several men" at the same time recently, and tells NME's Sylvia Patterson about her bandmate's that "If I wasn't in a band with them I would probably have dated each one of them - except Nick, who's married."
