Albert Hammond Jr covers Pixies man
'In Transit' features special B-side
Albert Hammond, Jr. has covered a song by Pixies frontman Frank Black as a B-side for his new single.
'Old Black Dawning' was recorded at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City, and will feature on Hammond's new single 'In Transit'.
The video for the track was directed by 'Walk The Line' actor Joaquin Phoenix.
The track will be available to download from September 3.
Hammond Jr is set to play a number of Irish dates before his Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals appearances over the weekend of August 24-26.
He will play:
Dublin Village (August 20)
Galway Roisin Dubh (21)
Belfast Ormeau Gardens (22)
