Rock veteran tells singer to cut down on the partying
Alice Cooper has urged Amy Winehouse to turn her life around before it is too late.
Speaking to The Daily Star, the veteran rocker and one-time hellraiser said even he was surprised by Winehouse's antics.
"I wasn't playing around with things as destructive as they are. Amy's too talented to be messing around like that," he explained. "At some point she's gotta take a step back and say: 'Am I gonna live or die?' She's got a long career, if she wants it. But I'm not her dad."
Cooper added it took him a lot longer to get into the state that he believes Winehouse is currently in.
"It took me until I hit 40 before I almost died from alcohol," he said, "but it's weird when you're in your 20s and almost dying from alcohol. That's a lot of alcohol."
