Alice In Chains announce new album title

Alice In Chains have announced the title of their new album, set to be released on September 29.

'Black Gives Way To Blues' is the band's first record in ten years and was recorded with producer Nick Raskulinecz, who's previously worked with Rush and Foo Fighters, at Studio 606 in Northridge, CA and Henson Studios in Hollywood, CA.

Original frontman Layne Staley died of a drug overdose in 2002, and three years later guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell, drummer Sean Kinney and bassist Mike Inez reunited at a benefit for victims of the tsunami in Indonesia. A year later the band toured with guitarist and vocalist William DuVall.

The band will take to the stage on July 18 to perform alongside Kid Rock at Comerica Park in Detroit, MI, and will head to Europe later this summer for a string of shows.
