ALIEN CHART INVASION?
Alien Ant Farm's Jacko cover is a threat to the ladies, who are expected to go head to head for the Number One slot...
KYLIE
MINOGUE and VICTORIA BECKHAM are gearing up for one of the
biggest pop battles of the year, although chart experts are predicting that ALIEN
ANT FARM is a threat to scoop them both in the race to become this week's
Number One single.
In one of the biggest weeks for single releases so far this
year, Kylie
releases her new single 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' in direct
competition with Spice Girl
Victoria Beckham, who releases 'Not Such An Innocent
Girl'.
Other new releases today (September 17) include Alien
Ant Farm's cover of the Michael
Jackson single 'Smooth Criminal', Travis' 'Side', Starsailor's
'Alcoholic' and Shaggy's
'Luv Me, Luv Me'.
A chart expert at HMV in
London told BBC news that it wasn't a certainty which single
will go to Number One, with four singles being in contention for the top spot.
He said: "Everyone seems to think it's a straight fight between Kylie
and Victoria for the Number One.
"But we shouldn't discount
Shaggy,
who's a massive singles artist these days, while Alien
Ant Farm's cover could prove a real dark horse."
