All-American Reject man to launch side-project
Tyson Ritter says new band was inspired by T-shirts
All-American Rejects frontman Tyson Ritter is set to debut his musical side project next week in New York .
Calling the band The Gnomans, Ritter says the group was inspired by a range of T-shirts he designed with friend Brian Robinson.
According to a report on nymag.com, Ritter will debut both the T-shirt line and the band at a public concert at Manhattan’s Marquee nightclub on May 16.
Following a burlesque performance The Gnomans will play while girls model the T-shirts.
But according to Ritter, he doesn’t plan on profiting from either project.
He said: “This whole thing really hasn’t been thought through. If I wanted to make money, I definitely would be approaching it differently.”
