RETURN OF THE SAINT

ALL SAINTS songwriter SHAZNAY LEWIS has told NME.COM that she hopes to release her debut solo single before the end of the year.

Speaking at yesterday's Ivor Novello Awards in London, Lewis said her new material outside of the All Saints was "hard to describe".

She said: "It's very experimental at the moment, so I'm not going to pin it down to one way. I'm growing, and it's all very new. It's new, it's exciting, it's a bit scary and I just wanted to test myself again."

Lewis said she was been working on material with Robbie Williams' writing partner Guy Chambers.

She continued: "It's going really well, it's quite nervy. It's all very new. It's interesting. At the moment I've worked with Guy Chambers, who has been really good. It's very experimental at the minute. There'll be a little bit of me in there. You'll be able to identify it as soon as you hear it."
