Alt-J comment on soundtracking Miley Cyrus 'striptease'

The popstar's 'Bangerz' tour features a scantily clad video montage cut to 'Fitzpleasure'

Alt-J 's drummer Thom Green has commented his band's music being used to soundtrack a 'striptease' segment on Miley Cyrus' current 'Bangerz' tour.

The song 'Fitzpleasure' - taken from the band's 2012 debut 'An Awesome Wave' - is used in a video interlude in the show, which is made up of shots of a scantily clad Cyrus, who also sports bondage gear. Of the unexpected cameo of their music, Green said to GQ: "Straightaway I thought 'Wow, that's weird, she's a huge celebrity! Then I thought it's not actually that weird. I knew she'd tweeted about us in the past and just because she's hugely famous it doesn't make it any different from anyone else liking it."

Last month Cyrus posted a tweet which read: "you can't listen to much alt-j alone. #emo". Green added that he "wouldn't rule out a collaboration" with the popstar, saying: "I wouldn't rule out a collaboration, her voice might suit some of our music! Maybe I'll remix one of her tracks in the future - please!"

Miley Cyrus is also a fan of another British band, Arctic Monkeys, recently covering their song 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?' during her appearance on MTV Unplugged.
