AlunaGeorge treat fans to 'sexy night' with intimate gig at London's 100 Club
Electro duo play highlights from their debut album at an exclusive event for Durex Intimate Sessions
The duo – singer Aluna Francis and producer George Reid – took to the stage at the cosy, historic venue on London's Oxford Street shortly after 9.30pm and opened with 'Just A Touch', a highlight from their debut album 'Body Music', which came out on July 26. The duo were joined onstage by a drummer and a bassist and their setlist delved deep into their debut album by including two songs, 'We Are Chosen' and 'B Ur Boo', that only appear on the iTunes deluxe edition.
During their rendition of recent single 'You Know You Like It', Francis shook off her loose-fitting black jacket and spent the rest of the gig criss-crossing the stage close to the crowd. Reid remained behind his keyboard stand throughout, where he was joined by Francis for a mid-set instrumental interlude.
Following the interlude, AlunaGeorge launched into their crowd-pleasing cover of Montell Jordan's 1995 hit 'This Is How We Do It' and got the whole venue dancing with a bouncy number called 'Lost And Found'. They wrapped up their 45-minute set with an energetic rendition of their recent Disclosure collaboration 'White Noise' and popular 'Body Music' track 'Your Drums, Your Love'.
Before leaving the stage, Francis told the crowd they had been "awesome" and said it had been "a sexy night".
