Amanda Palmer will be heading out on tour with her backing band The Grand Theft Orchestra in March of next year.

The US singer-songwriter will play seven dates on the UK and Ireland run, kicking off at Dublin Academy on March 21 and finishing up at London Roundhouse on March 28, with stops in Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and Brighton on the way. Tickets go on general sale October 22.

Palmer, who is also the singer in the Dresden Dolls, hit the headlines earlier this year when she managed to raise over $1.2 million to release her latest album via online fundraiser site Kickstarter. She is also about to play three UK dates in support of the album, which is titled 'Theatre Is Evil'.

She plays London's KOKO on October 23 before traveling to Manchester to play the city's Cathedral on October 24. She ends her short UK run with a gig at Glasgow's Oran Mor on October 25.
