APPETITE FOR SELF DESTRUCTION
Casey Chaos admits Paul Fig thought him "too self destructive for my own good"...
AMEN vocalist CASEY CHAOS has spoken of the reasons behind guitarist PAUL FIG's decision to leave the group.
Amen are looking for a replacement for Fig after left the band during sessions for their new album (November 6).
At the time the group issued a statement maintaining Fig's departure was an "amicable decision". However, speaking in the current issue of Kerrang! magazine, Chaos said that Fig thought the vocalist "too self destructive for my own good".
He said: "After six years of Paul and I being together in bands, he wanted to do his own thing and not really do tours, stuff like that. He thought I was too self destructive for my own good and he hated watching it happen. There's no bad vibes or anything like that. It's been a while coming. We (also) had problems between him and (bassist) Tumor."
The group continue to work on a new album with producer Ross Robinson.
