Amy Winehouse pulled out of a gig last night (July 5).

The singer was due to perform at Liverpool’s Summer Pops concert, though no explanation has yet been given as to why she axed the date.

A statement reads: “It is with regret that we announce the cancellation of the Amy Winehouse performance this evening (July 5).

"Following doctors advice, Amy Winehouse was unable to perform at tonight Summer Pops concert.

“We would like to apologise to all fans for this cancellation and are pleased to announce that the rescheduled Summer Pops show will now take place on Wednesday July 18. Tickets will be valid for the new date or a full refund in available.”

The singer cancelled a couple of London shows earlier this year due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
