Singer puts 'all touring commitments put on hold'

Amy Winehouse has pulled out of this weekend’s V Festival (August 18 and 19).

Her record label issued a statement today (August 16) explaining that she will not play the festival and further touring committments are also in doubt.

Amy Winehouse is putting all her touring commitments on hold until further notice in order to address her health issues," they explained. "Amy will not now be performing at this weekend’s V Festival. Her family has requested that the media respect Amy’s privacy at this time. There will be no further comment.”

The news comes after Winehouse was admitted to the Causeway drug rehab centre in Essex on Tuesday (August 14) following a drug overdose last Tuesday (August 7). However, she left the clinic yesterday (August 15).
