Amy Winehouse has cancelled a previously scheduled performance at the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, set to take place in Las Vegas on September 9.

The cancellation mark’s the continuation of Winehouse’s withdrawal from the music industry while she recovers from reported drug addiction.

The star is currently on holiday in St Lucia with her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, and has visited a drug rehab centre in Essex sporadically over the past few weeks.
